We’ve Gotten our Legislators Attention – Now we have to deliver the message: Sick folks are more important than new roads, lower tuition, salary raises, and bonuses. Ask legislators to support the full funding of the Jackson/Odom bill and budget amendment of $75 million dollars to provide health care for low-income, very sick Tennesseans.
Our calls have been burning up the phone lines and the legislators are
feeling the heat. Let's
make it even hotter! Please be respective, but firm when you call!
Our calls ARE
working! We’ve moved the funding from $0 to maybe
$25 million in funding for the Jackson/Odom Bill. However, we need $75
million to provide health care for the thousands who have been cut off
from TennCare. The money is there. The political will is lacking. We must

I’m glad to hear that the administration is willing to put $13 million
towards providing health care to uninsurable constituents. Some legislators
support funding of at least $25 million. This is appreciated, but not
enough. Do we want to cover 10,000 people or 40,000 people? The
real need is closer to 40,000 people. $75 million is what is needed.
Please support funding $75 million in state funds to restore coverage
for uninsurable constituents. Support full funding for Senate Bill
3424! Thank you.
